Welcome to my first ever blog. Obviously it will be about my service in Panama with the Peace Corps. I decided to to a blog because it will take less time to get the word out. I think uploading huge mass emails could take quite some time on a dial up modem

Greetings, Joe and welcome to Panama!

Having numerous friends who have been in the Peace Corps, we have some idea of the task that lies before you in terms of adaptation. Keep your chin and spirits up and your eyes and heart open.

By the way, all three of our good friends who have been in the PC have all extended for the third year. They all also married people they met during their PC time: one native; one ex-pat; one fellow PC volunteer. Just a warning!

We are well here. Louis is at Y day camp Kici Yapi this week, then a long week-end sailing on Lake Superior, a long week-end at a friend's cabin in northern Wisconsin, then Labor day and then back to school. He can hardly wait.

We are emptying out the office to make another bedroom. We are hoping to hear about our adoption in September. It seems to go on and on...

Now, onward and upward. Good luck to you. You're going to love it.

fondly,
The Minneapolis Goesslings
